I'm sorry to hear that you're losing games and ranking because of this!!!!

You're not the only one who wants this functionality – we're currently working on version 2.1, which will include a new section in the app that allows you to see your old games and choose to resume/adjourn/adjudicate etc. Hopefully that will take care of your problem.

On a technical side note – the reason why the app is just abandoning FICS games when you accept a call, is that the iPhone OS quite rudely kills the app when a call is accepted. Even worse is that on 2G, the iPhone can't keep both a call and a data connection open – so the iPhone will kill the app.

This is how our app should work in the different 'call coming in' scenario

On 2G:

Someone calls you regardless if you answer or not: Game is dropped (adjourned if you are registered, lost if you're a guest).

On 3G:

Someone calls you and you don't pick it up: Game *should* continue as before the call

Someone calls you and you pick it up: Game is dropped (adjourned if you are registered, lost if you're a guest).

If you find that you can't keep playing a game even though you don't pick it up – please let us know as we've been testing this in a number of different scenarios during the beta test campaign…
